Some interesting censored text on Balak
This is interesting. From Siftei Kohen's commentary on Balak, some censored text (pg 244 and then pg 245). I would guess that initially, the ink was much darker, but with time, it faded compared to the background ink, such that it is now eminently readable. I would guess that one could do even more with image editing software, to modify the brightness and contrast.

Hard for me to read. Can you summarize? I'm guessing some connection to Jesus, as Billam was frequently used as a stand-in for Jesus.
