Carnival of the Parsha #0

(Aside from the fact that if your last name is really Waxman and you're from NY, I might know you from childhood), why are people not posting their e-mail addresses on the blogs? Is it because of spammers? I've seen emails like george[at]jungle[dot]com. What's the deal?
yup. spammers have robots which crawl the web harvesting email addresses. People munge emails like this so that the bots to not recognize it as an email address. Of course, as a particular scheme to munge email addresses becomes more common, the programmers can just add it to the list of things to search for.
BTW - My last name is really Waxman, and I am from New York, so you might know me. Then again, my cousin has the same name as me, as does another Josh Waxman I know...
And people have suggested a law degree - for patent law, in fact! - but right now it is a big "perhaps" for the future.
