But what is its source for it? For it does not seem to appear in earlier Jewish sources, and least written ones. On the other hand, the Koran identifies Potifar's wife as Zuleika.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuleika_(legendary)

and the midrash there (I did not see it inside) apparently also echoes other aspects of the story. So is such a midrash legitimate? I'll have to check this out inside (bli neder).

KT,
Joshjoshwaxmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05149022516101476797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589564.post-41211579133744158342008-12-15T19:41:00.000-05:002008-12-15T19:41:00.000-05:00For an amazing commentary on the subject see hereh...For an amazing commentary on the subject see here
http://curiousjew.blogspot.com/2006/11/egyptian-women-in-torah.htmlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589564.post-80202652945297186432008-12-15T19:36:00.000-05:002008-12-15T19:36:00.000-05:00Her name was Zelicha.
